Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Food Service Counter Attendant at Tim Hortons. As a key member of our restaurant team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and safe environment for our guests.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and place them in storage areas.
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Scour pots and pans to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Keep records of the quantities of food used to optimize inventory management.
  • Package take-out food and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, taking orders and handling transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars to maintain a well-stocked and organized kitchen environment.
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs to meet customer needs.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely and efficiently.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas to maintain a well-stocked and organized kitchen environment.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash to maintain a clean and safe environment for our guests.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment for our guests.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit to meet customer demands.

Requirements

  • Secondary School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Customer service experience of at least 2 years is required.
  • English language proficiency is preferred.
  • Food Handler Certification is preferred.
  • Ability to commute to Truro, NS B2N 5A9 is required.
  • Ability to relocate to Truro, NS B2N 5A9 before starting work is required.
