About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Financial Reporting to join our team at CMHC. As a key member of our Office of the CFO and Corporate Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our external financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of financial reporting strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead the preparation of quarterly financial reports, annual consolidated financial statements, and pension valuation reports.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to establish objectives, priorities, and plans for the division.
  • Monitor compliance with internal control frameworks and ensure best practices are applied.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on complex accounting matters, including IFRS and OSFI requirements.
Requirements
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in financial reporting, including audit and internal control.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience, including direct management of others.
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills, including experience with IFRS 17 and IFRS 9.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex policy/financial/functional problems.
