Job Summary:

The University of Saskatchewan is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the Saskatchewan Centre for Patient-Oriented Research (SCPOR). This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with a team of professionals to advance patient-oriented research in Saskatchewan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic support to the Executive Director, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and preparation of background materials and briefing notes.
  • Ensure the timely and judicious articulation of issues requiring the Executive Director's attention, and develop and implement solutions as needed.
  • Provide administrative support and coordination for governance committees, including drafting agendas, coordinating reports, and maintaining accurate records of meetings.
  • Support ongoing communication with members, partners, and other stakeholders, and assist with membership renewal and onboarding processes.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director to provide administrative support and coordination for confidential correspondence, proposals, and contracts, reports, and regulatory documents.

Requirements:

  • A relevant university degree or college diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five to seven years' experience providing executive support to a senior leader in a large organization, preferably in an academic institution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, relationship building skills, and the ability to work effectively with decision-makers to achieve solutions to complex problems and sensitive situations.
