Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities- SUPERVISE AND COACH A TEAM OF QA PROFESSIONALS TO ENSURE EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION OF QA PROGRAMS AND POLICIES.
- PLAN AND EXECUTE QUALITY ASSURANCE ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING AUDITS, INSPECTIONS, AND TESTS, TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS AND COMPANY STANDARDS.
- Maintain, update and ensure consistent execution of current QA programs and internal SOPs and compliance with Business Unit and CFIA requirements.
- ASSIST IN DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING NEW QA PROCEDURES AND CONTROLS TO IMPROVE PRODUCT QUALITY AND SAFETY.
- MONITOR AND REPORT ON QA PERFORMANCE INDICATORS, SUCH AS DEFECT RATES AND COMPLAINTS, TO IDENTIFY AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT.
- Provide feedback on performance and necessary improvements.
- Communication with Farmers on Hatchery performance results, setting up adjustments.
- A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN ANIMAL SCIENCE, VETERINARY MEDICINE, MICROBIOLOGY, FOOD SCIENCE, OR A RELATED FIELD IS REQUIRED.
- TWO TO FIVE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN A HACCP-RECOGNIZED FACILITY IN A QA ROLE, MINIMUM TWO YEARS OF SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED.
- EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION, LEADERSHIP, AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS ARE ESSENTIAL.
- ABILITY TO WORK IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT AND MAKE DECISIONS BASED ON DATA-DRIVEN ANALYSIS IS CRUCIAL.
- PROFICIENCY IN MICROSOFT OFFICE, ESPECIALLY EXCEL AND WORD, IS REQUIRED.
