Position Summary
We are recruiting for an Associate, Investments in our Toronto office. The Associate will play a key role in assessing and executing new investment opportunities, as well as managing portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Industry Research: Identifying healthcare, business, and consumer services industry sectors with better-than-average economics, large total addressable markets, significant fragmentation, and high-quality revenue.
- Deal Generation: Creating a database of potential acquisition candidates and establishing relationships with these companies to determine their interest in a potential transaction.
- Transaction Support: Analyzing opportunities, including researching industry sectors, preparing investment memos, and reviewing financial data.
- Portfolio Company Management: Reviewing and analyzing reports from portfolio companies, as well as assisting with special projects, such as strategy development and capital structure optimization.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in investment banking, private equity, or a related field.
- A high level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
