Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including vegetables, meats, sauces, and salads.
  • Ensure the kitchen is operated in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, including adhering to safe food handling procedures.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
  • Coordinate meal service with colleagues and ensure timely delivery of meals.
  • Communicate effectively with dishwashers and servers regarding cleanup and other kitchen duties.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and guests.

Requirements:
  • Completion of secondary school.
  • Completion of college program in cooking or related field.
  • Several years of related, proven cooking experience.
  • Red Seal Certification is an asset.
  • Food Safe Certification.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector - Criminal Record Check.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, a team player, and excellent problem-solving skills.

We offer a competitive rate of $27.56 per hour for this position, which falls under provincial wage-levelling.
