We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our accounting team as an Assistant Financial Controller. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting financial reporting, and managing day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for contributing to a successful dealership operation.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist in managing all aspects of the dealership's financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Responsible for assisting in posting deals for the sales department.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reviewing OEM rebates and submitting loyalties.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting documents.
  • Support the Controller in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard dealership assets.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with dealership policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation for audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

**Qualifications:**

  • Candidate must have a minimum college education with a focus in accounting.
  • Candidate must have a minimum 1 year of experience working in an accounting or financial role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of dealership accounting practices is a plus.
