This position plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of financial documentation, facilitating financial disclosures, and overseeing daily accounting functions. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the oversight of all financial reporting aspects of the dealership, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Support the sales department by assisting in the posting of transactions.
  • Ensure the precise and prompt processing of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Review OEM incentives and manage loyalty submissions.
  • Prepare and analyze journal entries, reconciliations, and other financial documents.
  • Assist the Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and financial assessments.
  • Monitor and implement internal controls to protect dealership assets.
  • Collaborate with various departments to guarantee accurate financial reporting and compliance with dealership policies.
  • Assist in audit preparations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a college degree with a concentration in accounting is required.
  • At least one year of experience in an accounting or financial position is necessary.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with dealership accounting practices is advantageous.
