We are looking for a meticulous Assistant Controller to enhance our finance department. This position plays a vital role in maintaining precise financial documentation, aiding in financial disclosures, and overseeing daily accounting functions. The perfect candidate will possess a solid foundation in finance and accounting, outstanding organizational abilities, and a commitment to fostering a thriving dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing all elements of the dealership's financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Support the sales department by assisting in the posting of transactions.
  • Ensure the accurate and prompt processing of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Review original equipment manufacturer (OEM) rebates and submit loyalty programs.
  • Prepare and analyze journal entries, reconciliations, and other financial documents.
  • Assist the Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis tasks.
  • Monitor and implement internal controls to protect dealership assets.
  • Collaborate with various departments to guarantee accurate financial reporting and compliance with dealership policies.
  • Assist in audit preparations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a college degree with a concentration in accounting is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance-related position is necessary.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with dealership accounting practices is advantageous.
