Motel Managing Supervisor Job Description

Mary's Motel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motel Managing Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our motel, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Assist clients/guests with special needs, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Team Leadership: Co-ordinate, assign, and review work, hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Operations Management: Maintain operation of computer systems, equipment, machinery, and arrange repair work to ensure business continuity and customer service delivery.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition materials and supplies to support motel operations.
  • Supervision: Lead a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Cultural Competency: Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees, as well as Indigenous workers.
  • Work Environment: Ensure a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
