Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Produce Clerk to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring the efficient operation of our produce department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, making recommendations, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, rotating inventory, and performing daily cleaning tasks.
- Ensure the efficient operation of the produce department by receiving and inspecting fresh produce, stocking and facing merchandise, and operating equipment safely.
- Assist customers with purchases, including answering questions and making recommendations.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
