Design - Technical Mid to Senior Level (Management)

Ines Di Santo Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Wedding Gown Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for creating breathtaking bridal creations that embody the essence of our brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and observe industry trends to translate into new innovative concepts via illustrations and draping, executed within the brand aesthetic.
  • Meet with vendors to select fabrics, trimmings, and embellishments for new season consideration.
  • Design and oversee creation of new styles for collections shown in New York and Barcelona.
  • Prepare and present new design concepts to the Design Director and Creative Director.
  • Communicate chosen designs to the pattern maker and development team.
  • Organize and manage design boards for new development.
  • Oversee design team to create detailed tech packs and patterns.
  • Work closely with the design and pattern team to create embroidery and embellishment layouts.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of industry experience in bridal or eveningwear design.
  • Strong technical understanding of drape, pattern, and garment construction.
  • Creative understanding of finishings, embellishments, and engineering of fabric.
  • High taste level and great eye for color, silhouette, and proportion.
  • Passionate about design and innovation with a keen eye for nuance and detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to pivot and reprioritize as needed.
  • Experienced in managing teams and cultivating a supportive environment.
  • Ability to receive feedback and use it to better shape collection pieces.
  • Comfortable wearing many hats and playing an integral leadership role in a small team.
  • Ability and eagerness to travel to the U.S. and Europe as needed.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office.
