About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mold Designer to join our team at HCR Permanent Search. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex molds, fixtures, and components using Computer Aided Design (CAD) equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design team to develop and implement design solutions that meet customer and company specifications
  • Design and develop molds, fixtures, and components using Siemens NX Mold Wizard and other CAD software
  • Work closely with the estimating and program managers to assist in the development of new tooling and engineering change quotes
  • Participate in and support Continuous Improvement and world class manufacturing initiatives
  • Adhere to applicable quality systems and use standard library models to design tools that meet customer/company specifications

Requirements:

  • College diploma/University degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent experience an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Siemens NX Mold Wizard in all facets of tool design
  • Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems
  • Results-oriented and able to work under pressure
