Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Audit & Credit Risk Initiatives Manager. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the effective management of credit risk and audit activities within our Commercial Banking division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage audit and credit risk initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure the integrity of our financial systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address areas of risk and improve overall business performance.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management on risk management and compliance matters.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and external partners.
  • Manage and coordinate the development of risk management policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure that all risk management activities are aligned with the company's overall business objectives and strategies.
Requirements
  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Commercial loan analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management experience.
  • Knowledge of commercial banking systems, products, and processes.
  • Basic understanding of risk management concepts specific to commercial lending.
  • Prior audit experience at a financial lending institution is an asset.
  • Project management experience.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
