Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Road Maintenance Technician to join our team at Webber. As a key member of our infrastructure management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance, servicing, and repairs of our roads and other infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on roads, bridges, and other infrastructure assets to ensure they are safe and functional.
  • Traffic Control: Set up and remove traffic control devices, including cones, message boards, and temporary signage, to ensure safe traffic flow.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of equipment, including large trucks, specialized motor vehicles, and trailers, to transport crew and equipment to work sites.
  • Vegetation Management: Maintain the appearance and growth of vegetation along roads and other infrastructure assets through lawn mowing, trimming, and chemical spraying.
  • Sign and Guardrail Maintenance: Repair and replace signs, guardrails, and other infrastructure assets to ensure they are safe and functional.
  • Emergency Response: Be available and accessible for emergency response rotations, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: One year of work experience in infrastructure maintenance and repair preferred.
  • License: Valid driver's license and good driving record required. Class DZ/AZ driver's license and OTM Book 7 highly desirable.
Work Environment

The employee will be regularly exposed to traffic and outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee will occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.

Physical Demands

The employee will be required to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee will be required to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment.
