The Health and Safety Senior Analyst role supports the regional Health and Safety function, ensuring that the HESA management system is implemented in accordance with company requirements, procedures, and applicable legal regulations across all sites.

About the Role
  1. Liaise closely with the Corporate HESA team to develop and implement a comprehensive management system.
  2. Monitor and control hazard identification, assessment, and mitigation efforts.
  3. Coordinate annual HESA action plans and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  4. Ensure proper issuance and update of company HESA procedures and prepare periodic reports.
  5. Identify and ensure adherence to relevant legal requirements.
  6. Develop and implement effective HESA training programs.
  7. Participate in company audits and provide support to clients and stakeholders.
  8. Assist in the development and implementation of awareness campaigns and coordinate HESA committees and meetings.
  9. Analyze statistics, trends, and action plans to inform decision-making.
  10. Ensure proper use of company IT tools and comply with company policies, procedures, and management standards.
  11. Manage staff development, motivate employees, and handle HR-related activities.

Required Qualifications

  • CRSP or equivalent health and safety certification.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to make informed decisions under pressure, with limited resources and information.
  • Flexibility to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Schedule and Working Conditions

  • Day shift, 8 am – 5 pm, with flexibility based on business needs.
  • Work performed in a steel manufacturing environment.
