About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Technician to join our team at Tenaris in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the systematic identification, assessment, and control of hazards and risks.
  • Support the implementation of Company HSE procedures and prepare periodical reports.
  • Analyze statistics, trends, and action plans, proposing corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and implement proper HSE training programs.
  • Participate in company HSE committees and meetings.
  • Support and assist clients and other interested parties in analyzing their requirements and implementing changes.
  • Ensure the proper use of company IT tools.
  • Comply with Tenaris policies, procedures, and management standards, and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Protect company facilities, equipment, and physical resources from damage, theft, or misuse.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a related Health and Safety role with similar responsibilities is an asset.
  • Ability to perform failure analysis and provide solution-based ideas.
  • Good knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Previous experience in the Oil and Gas industry is an asset.
  • Safety and Quality-minded, detail-oriented, with strong follow-up and analytical skills.
