Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, coordinating new employee orientations, tracking benefits and employment status changes, conducting management training, and managing Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) and employment insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and hire top talent for all open positions
  • Coordinate and conduct thorough orientations for new team members
  • Track and manage all benefits and employment status changes
  • Conduct management training and development programs
  • Manage WCB and employment insurance claims
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees and management teams

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field
  • At least three years of experience in HR, including high-volume staffing and recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and workers' compensation administration
  • Experience working in a unionized environment and familiarity with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs)
  • Knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards and other employment laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic office equipment
