Financial Services Administrator Role

Are you detail-oriented and passionate about numbers? Do you want to use your financial skills in a unique environment? As a Financial Services Administrator with the Canadian Armed Forces, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial administration and services to support military operations
  • Manage general office bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Assist with budget management and financial planning
  • Process vendor invoices, payables, and receivables
  • Initiate, process, and finalize claims
  • Administer support to operations and personnel management
  • Reconcile departmental travel expenditures and provide financial support to members
Requirements
  • Be a Canadian citizen
  • Be at least 18 years old (17 years old with parental consent)
  • Have completed at least Grade 10 or Secondary IV in Quebec
Work Environment

As a Financial Services Administrator, you'll be employed at various CAF bases in Canada, on ships, and overseas, supporting Canadian Army, Royal Canadian Navy, or Royal Canadian Air Force operations.

Training and Development

You'll undergo basic military qualification training and basic occupational qualification training, which includes courses on financial authority, regulations, and financial structure, as well as accounting and budget management.

Specialty Training

As you progress in your career, you may have the opportunity to develop specialized skills through formal courses and on-the-job training, including cashier, non-public funds administration, and compliance and verification.

Education and Career Advancement

To be eligible for this position, you must have completed the provincial requirements for Grade 10 or Secondary IV in Quebec. You'll also have the opportunity to advance your career through education and training programs.

Please note that, if successful in the application process, you'll be entering service in either the Regular Force or Primary Reserve Force of the Canadian Armed Forces as a military member.
