Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary:

Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our interdisciplinary resident care team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing services to our residents, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing services to residents, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in resident and family education to promote health and wellness.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
  • Three (3) years current clinical experience in gerontology preferred.
  • Graduate of an approved nursing educational program.
  • Ability to prioritize care for an individual resident to a group of residents.
  • Ability to delegate care appropriately and monitor outcomes of delegated care.
  • Ability to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands.

Working Conditions:

  • May encounter aggressive and/or agitated individuals.
  • May be exposed to disease, radiation, toxic material, noise, allergens, blood, feces, body fluids, etc.
