Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective patient care, utilizing nursing processes and critical thinking skills.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to healthcare teams.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
  • Recent experience in obstetrics, with preference for IV initiation, NVCI, foot care, and NRP skills.
