Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As a key member of our interprofessional healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing safe, quality patient-centered care.

About the Role:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with AHS policies and guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to patients across the lifespan.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
  • Experience in at least one of the following departments: acute care, emergency, intensive care, operating room, obstetrics, continuing care, and psychiatry.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification(s) in a relevant specialty area.
  • Charge nurse experience or past leadership training/experience.
  • Experience in more than one of the above-mentioned departments.
