Plastic Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled Plastic Surgeon to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). As a Plastic Surgeon, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge in the field of plastic surgery.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Medical Research: Conduct research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods, and study the nature, cause, and development of diseases.
- Consult with Other Physicians: Act as a consultant to other physicians and provide expert advice on plastic surgery-related matters.
- Order Diagnostic Procedures: Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Supervise Working Groups: Supervise working groups and ensure that all team members are working together effectively to achieve common goals.
- Education: A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in plastic surgery is required.
- Certifications: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities are required.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure. The role will involve standing for extended periods, walking, and bending, crouching, and kneeling. The ability to distinguish between colors and manual dexterity are essential for this role.
