Job Title: Pharmacy Services Clinical Practice LeaderEstimated Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per yearAbout the Role

We are seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Services team as a Clinical Practice Leader. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating clinical activities of pharmacists, providing pharmaceutical care, and overseeing clinical pharmacy practice programs, medication use systems, and quality initiatives.

You will work closely with our Director, Pharmacy Service, to develop and implement policies, protocols, and guidelines that support the creation and maintenance of the clinical pharmacy program. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring compliance with professional best practices and standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy practice, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate clinical activities of pharmacists, including pharmaceutical care and oversight of clinical pharmacy practice programs.
  • Develop and implement policies, protocols, and guidelines to support the clinical pharmacy program.
  • Ensure compliance with professional best practices and standards.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Pharmacy Service, to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Coach and mentor clinical pharmacist staff to enhance their clinical abilities and education.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from a recognized school of Pharmacy or equivalent education.
  • Minimum 5 years of Pharmacist experience in a hospital setting required.
  • Registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists – Part A (Pharmacists providing direct patient care).
  • Proven leadership abilities and understanding of concepts of adult learning.
  • Demonstrated abilities in research and/or scholarly activity.
  • Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
