The Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled Oncology Care Specialist to join its team. Located in the picturesque towns of Trail and Rossland, this role offers an exceptional work-life balance opportunity.

Job Overview

This full-time position is part of our Diagnostic and Acute Care team at KBRH, serving 80,000 people in the Kootenay Boundary region. As an Oncology Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including chemotherapy supervision, education, supportive care, and end-of-life planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise treatment using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.
  • Provide ongoing surveillance and monitoring of patients post-treatment.
  • Maintain regular communication with specialists regarding plan of care and practice collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

No prior oncology experience is required, and we offer a comprehensive 8-week GP oncology training program. This includes 4 weeks of online learning and 6 weeks of practical training with the BC Cancer Agency.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive Clinical Service Contract with relocation funding available. The amount varies based on move location, ranging from $9,000 to $15,000.
