We are seeking a Perinatal Nurse Specialist to join our team at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital's Maternal Child unit. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with Antenatal, Intrapartum, and Postpartum patients and families.
As a Perinatal Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating client care in a perinatal clinical setting. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of client-centered care.
The ideal candidate will possess high and low-risk delivery experience and be comfortable with their decision-making abilities. They will also be a team player and willing to learn new skills. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and development, including access to educational resources such as MoreOB events and in-house training.
KBRH is the regional site that serves the majority of the West Kootenay Region. We provide maternity care for the continuum of pregnancy and postpartum, as well as pediatric inpatient services and a level 1b NICU. Our team provides a collaborative approach, and we offer orientation and one-on-one support with our regional perinatal educator.
This Casual position offers diverse shifts, rotating from 07:00 to 19:15 and 19:00 to 07:15 hours. The hourly wage for this position is $41.42 to $55.91. Trail is a special place with affordable real estate, outstanding recreational facilities, and an abundance of outdoor activities.
