Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Baymont by Wyndham. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling room reservations, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.

Responsibilities
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Process group arrivals and departures, taking into account room availability and guest preferences.
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide guests with information on hotel facilities and services, including dining options, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures, including responding to guest incidents and reporting any issues to management.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as faxing, filing, and photocopying, as needed.
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist guests with special needs, providing additional support and accommodations as required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, judgement, organized, reliability, and a team player attitude.
Work Environment

Our hotel is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a high level of guest interaction and activity. As a Hotel Front Desk Clerk, you will be required to work in a standing position for extended periods, with regular breaks to rest and recharge.
