At the Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration in Nova Scotia, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Economist to join our Research, Accountability and Intergovernmental Affairs Division.

About the Role

This is a key position that will provide critical specialized analysis and advice to support the provision of quality labour market information products and services to external and internal stakeholders. As a Senior Economist, you will be responsible for analyzing and communicating labour market data and issues, supporting program evaluation and accountability, and advising on intergovernmental relations.

You will be working closely with our team to advance evidence-based decision making across the department and beyond. This includes providing high-quality research and analysis to inform policy and program decisions, as well as developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

We offer a competitive salary range of $2,760.90 Bi-Weekly, commensurate with experience. If you're passionate about economics and labour market analysis, and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results, we'd love to hear from you.

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Economics or a related field, plus five years' experience conducting research, statistical analysis, or related experience. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
