About the RoleThis Registered Nurse position offers a unique opportunity to start your nursing career on the right path with extended orientation, training & support, and secure full-time employment within 12 months. As part of our Nursing Graduate Guarantee (NGG) program, you will have access to:
- RVH's comprehensive orientation program, including General Hospital Orientation, Interprofessional Orientation, and Unit-specific Orientation
- 12 weeks with a Nurse Preceptor that works directly with you to support your NGG transition into practice period and build on your prior education and experience
- RVH's Nursing Mentorship Program where you're paired with an experienced nurse who provides support and guidance throughout your first year of nursing, and workshops with other new nurses
- A 3-day Simulation Workshop to enhance your clinical nursing skills
You will work in various acute clinical care departments, providing high-quality patient care and developing your clinical competence in nursing practice.
RequirementsTo be eligible for this role, you must:
- Have graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited university or college
- Be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) within the last 12 months, in the General or Temporary Class prior to start date
- Be eligible for the Nursing Graduate Guarantee (NGG) Program
- Hold Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Preference may be given to those with membership with the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO) or other professional nursing associations
This role offers a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on the ONA Collective Agreement for Registered Nurses with a General Class License with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). You will also have access to a range of benefits, including health insurance, pension plan, and opportunities for professional development.
