Job Overview

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Reporting Finance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our financial reporting department, you'll play a critical role in preparing our external financial reports, including quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and management's discussion and analysis (MD&A). Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

About the Role
  • Assist in preparing our quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and MD&A, ensuring IFRS compliance;
  • Conduct technical research on IFRS issues and provide recommendations on significant accounting matters;
  • Prepare accounting memoranda and other financial materials as required;
  • Support operations accounting teams by providing guidance on accounting treatment for various operational transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls;
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned balance sheet account reconciliations and make necessary journal entries;
  • Collaborate with our treasury function to account for cash flow cycles and related journal entries;
  • Assist with developing ESG audit and reporting requirements, as well as annual corporate filings (AIF, Information Circular), as needed;
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including external auditors, executive management, and senior staff;
  • Participate in ad-hoc operational projects and finance-related transactions;
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or accounting required;
  • Experience with major accounting software packages for general ledger and statutory accounting preferred;
  • Demonstrated or related audit experience in financial and management reporting, including problem-solving skills related to monthly consolidation processes;
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
