Role OverviewThe Financial Reporting Analyst will play an integral part in preparation and analysis of financial results. This role focuses on preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations and workbooks, as well as creating internal and external financial statements and reports. The Financial Reporting Specialist must ensure all documentation and transactions are in compliance with IFRS.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly journal entries and perform bank and GL account reconciliations.
- Perform verification and reconciliation of accounts, verifying bank deposits and payments, and ensuring timely follow-up action according to corporate standards.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external financial statements, ensuring highest quality, reliability and accuracy.
- Compile and analyze financial information for business units and perform variance analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of sales tax filings.
Requirements:
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting with strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Familiarity with reconciliation and audit processes is required.
- YARDI experience is considered an asset.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
