We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at IKO Industries Ltd. as a Manufacturing Specialist. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Equipment Installation: Install new equipment and machinery, and ensure that all necessary safety protocols are in place.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all products meet our high standards.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of spare parts and supplies to ensure that we have the necessary materials to maintain our equipment.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
- Education and Certification: Must have a valid British Columbia Industrial Mechanic License.
- Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Skills: Must be able to read mechanical drawings, work with pneumatic controls, and have experience with welding and cutting.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basis, and walk and/or stand 50-75% of the shift.
