Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of truck drivers, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of truck drivers to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods.
  • Recommend measures to improve work methods and productivity.
  • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to drivers.
  • Train or arrange for training of drivers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities to ensure smooth operation of the transportation department.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and that all drivers are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Recommend personnel actions and requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies as needed.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
