Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of truck drivers, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of truck drivers to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods.
  • Recommend measures to improve work methods and productivity.
  • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to drivers.
  • Train or arrange for training of drivers to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities to ensure smooth operation of the transportation department.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and maintained.
  • Recommend personnel actions and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Team player with excellent leadership skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Travel may be required.
