About Us

At Huawei Technologies Canada Co., Ltd., we are seeking a highly skilled Payment Processing Expert to join our team. With a strong focus on financial operations, this role will play a critical part in ensuring the timely and accurate payment of vendors.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Job Description

In this key position, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining Purchase Requests (PR) in our system, as well as ensuring the accuracy of vendor invoices. You will work closely with our Accounts Payable team to ensure seamless payment processing and reconciliation. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will enable you to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance billing and payment efficiency.

  • Create and maintain Purchase Requests (PR) in the system.
  • Maintain, record and update PO and related PO tracking files.
  • Assist in invoicing functions: document management, receipt and acceptance of invoices.
  • Ensure amounts paid are accurate and that all information on invoices is correct according to goods accepted/services delivered.
  • Responsible for submitting all received invoices to the Accounts Payable team.
  • Point of contact with Vendor for the Accounts Payable team.
  • Analyze department procedures to identify opportunities for streamlining processes.
  • Proactively escalate payment-related operational issues, collaborating with relevant departments to facilitate resolution and ensure timely, accurate payments.
  • Monitor all vendor payment agreements. Reconcile vendor statements, research and analyze discrepancies and correct them.
  • Conduct thorough audits and processes with attention to detail and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Post-Secondary Diploma in Business Administration, finance, or relevant discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in office administration.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated organization and time-management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of financial procedures and practices.
  • Keen attention to detail.
