About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our Primary Health Care team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare providers to provide patient-centered care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with an interprofessional team to provide patient-centered care
  • Identify and resolve drug-related problems
  • Participate in interprofessional medical rounds
  • Provide patient education and make therapeutic recommendations
  • Ensure safe and effective drug therapy through participation in and oversight of drug distribution systems
About You

We are looking for a Pharmacist with a strong background in clinical practice, preferably in a hospital pharmacy setting. You should have a strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics, effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs.

Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited university program in Pharmacy
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program preferred
  • Licensed to practice Pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia
  • Minimum two years' experience in clinical practice in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $43.67 - $53.24. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
