Pharmacist - Primary Health Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our Primary Health Care team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare providers to provide patient-centered care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy.
Key Responsibilities- Work with an interprofessional team to provide patient-centered care
- Identify and resolve drug-related problems
- Participate in interprofessional medical rounds
- Provide patient education and make therapeutic recommendations
- Ensure safe and effective drug therapy through participation in and oversight of drug distribution systems
We are looking for a Pharmacist with a strong background in clinical practice, preferably in a hospital pharmacy setting. You should have a strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics, effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs.
Requirements- Graduation from an accredited university program in Pharmacy
- Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program preferred
- Licensed to practice Pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia
- Minimum two years' experience in clinical practice in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
This is a permanent full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
The hourly rate for this position is $53.24.
