The Hospital for Sick Children is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hematologist to join our team. As a key member of our Hematology Department, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with hematological disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat patients with hematological disorders, including conducting medical research and prescribing medication.
- Work collaboratively with other physicians and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
- Contribute to medical research and publications, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in hematology.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, sharing your expertise and knowledge to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
- MD or equivalent degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
- 5+ years of experience in a hospital setting, with a strong background in hematology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
