Job Title: Physiotherapist, Respiratory Rehabilitation Clinic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our Respiratory Rehabilitation Clinic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for educating and designing exercise programs for individuals with chronic respiratory disease, utilizing evidence-based physical therapy practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments to determine respiratory and general health status of patients.
  • Develop and implement exercise programs for individuals with chronic respiratory disease, incorporating principles of exercise physiology and adult education.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and families.
  • Participate in clinical trials and research studies related to respiratory rehabilitation medicine.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on respiratory rehabilitation techniques and strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with current developments in physiotherapy and respiratory rehabilitation medicine through ongoing education and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a recognized university with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree.
  • Current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC).
  • Eligible for membership in the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia (PABC).
  • One year's recent, related experience working in a Respiratory Rehabilitation Clinic or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Level C certification.
