Job Summary:The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing care to an assigned group of patients/residents according to established policies and procedures. This includes conducting assessments, developing care plans, implementing and evaluating interventions, and documenting information. The successful candidate will also participate in a variety of meetings, including care conferences, and assist with the orientation of new staff and students as required.
Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care to patients/residents in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans to meet the physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs of patients/residents
- Implement and evaluate interventions to promote patient/resident health and well-being
- Document information and maintain accurate records
- Participate in care conferences and other meetings as required
- Assist with the orientation of new staff and students
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a practicing LPN registrant
- Current basic cardiac life support certification
