Professional Leader in Community Care

Join VON Canada (Ontario) as a Manager Home and Community Care and take on the role of leading our team in providing exceptional care to clients. As a key member of our management team, you will oversee the delivery of in-home care services, staff supervision, client service programs, and team operations.
About the RoleThe Manager Home and Community Care is responsible for ensuring the provision of safe, effective quality client care within their program area. This involves working with staff to complete risk assessments, investigations of issues, injuries, and reporting related to client or employee incidents. You will also be accountable for monitoring performance related to funder expectations regularly and contributing to the development and implementation of quality improvement activities to achieve performance targets through monitoring of reported services.
This is a dynamic leadership position that requires strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and a commitment to excellence. If you have experience managing others, community work, and collaborating with partners, we encourage you to apply.
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional and practice leadership to staff
- Ensure the provision of safe, effective quality client care within their program area
- Directs and monitors delivery of client care services and day-to-day functions and performance of front-line staff
- Assists staff to complete risk assessments, investigations of issues, injuries, and reporting related to client or employee incidents
- Monitors performance related to funder expectations regularly
- Contributes to the development and implementation of quality improvement activities
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Regulated Health Professional and certification as a Registered Nurse
- A minimum of 2 years' experience managing others
- Experience in community work and working with community partners in a collaborative way
- Experience engaging with municipal, provincial, and national external groups in a related field
- Experience in negotiation, conflict management, financial management, and working with staff and volunteers
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office software
- Strong public relations and networking skills
