Wound Care Professional

Closing the Gap Healthcare is dedicated to providing Canadians with high-quality care across a wide range of home and community-based healthcare services. We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse to join our team, specializing in wound care knowledge and skills.
Job Description- Complete comprehensive wound assessments for clients in their homes and at our ambulatory clinics.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams to establish or update plans of care incorporating evidence-based practices.
- Provide consultation and clinical support to healthcare team members, including recommendations for specialty products.
- Offer educational support to clients, families, and care team members on wound healing and skin health.
- Adhere to provincial regulatory body standards and practice guidelines, delivering safe, competent, evidence-based nursing care within your scope of practice.
- Has completed 75% of the NSWOC certificate and has 3 years of experience in a setting focused on wound care.
- Successfully completed the International Interdisciplinary Wound Care Course (IIWCC).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in the community or acute care setting with a focus on wound care is preferred.
