Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Mental Health and Addiction Care Specialist to join our team at Home and Community Care Support Services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with experience in providing direct clinical mental health and addiction services for children and youth to work with our district school boards, advising educators and developing individual care plans in collaboration with other professionals. As a valued member of our team, you will play a lead role in providing connected, accessible, patient-centred care and be supported by our collaborative team that includes over 8,000 regulated healthcare professionals.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Registered Nurse;
  • A membership, in good standing, with College of Nurses of Ontario;
  • Advanced assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, assessment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
  • Effective time management, prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and co-operatively in a busy multidisciplinary environment;
  • Established ability to accurately complete required documentation, reports and forms;
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
