Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Nurse Manager at Island View Place Care. As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care and providing leadership to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care and contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Monitor and record vital signs, collect samples, dress wounds, and report patient progress and reactions to treatment.
• Provide leadership to our team, from actively participating in recruitment and then through the employee journey with us.
• Advocate for patient needs and ensure their safety and well-being.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide outstanding treatment and care.
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing attendants, healthcare aides, and practical nursing students etc.
• Manage Nursing schedule to ensure continuity of care, call-ins and vacation requests etc.

Qualifications:

• Can fully fulfill the responsibilities of an LPN
• Valid LPN license from the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia (CLPNBC).
• Graduation from a Registered LPN Program.
• Well-rounded leadership experience.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Medical certificate confirming physical, mental, and emotional suitability for the position.
• TB Test clearance.
• BC Criminal Records Review Program Clearance.

Skills and Abilities:

• A minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with physical and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Lead by example, coach and mentor the team.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrates compassion and clear communication.
• Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand for several hours at a time.
• Able to lift, bend, and stoop.
• Proven ability to stretch, lift, and walk on a regular basis.
• Other physical abilities as required to perform the duties of the position.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary range of $78,200.00-$83,200.00 per year. The position also includes a signing bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including dental care, extended health care, and vision care.
