Job SummaryThe successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Health Services Manager to provide occupational therapy services to patients with various physical and cognitive impairments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
About the OpportunityThis is a permanent full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $33.97 - $42.89 hourly. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, the successful candidate may also be eligible for a defined benefit pension plan.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide occupational therapy services to patients with various physical and cognitive impairments
- Work collaboratively with clients, caregivers, and family members to develop individualized treatment plans
- Conduct assessments, provide consultations, and implement interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain a high level of productivity
- Graduate of a C.A.O.T recognized School of Occupational Therapy
- Licensed with College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia (COTNS)
- Two years relevant experience required
- Maintain current certification in CPR
- Knowledge and understanding of the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM)
