Career Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Discharge and Patient Flow Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating the effective movement of patients through our hospital system. Your primary focus will be on ensuring seamless transitions from admission to discharge, optimizing bed utilization, and streamlining clinical processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement efficient patient flow strategies to reduce wait times and improve patient satisfaction
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient transfers, discharges, and bed allocation
  • Analyze data to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure informed decision-making and timely resolution of issues
What You'll Need:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive process improvements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with healthcare teams and patients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient flow or discharge coordination
About the Role:

This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, commensurate with experience. UHN offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a pension plan and generous paid time off.
