Laboratory Technologist I

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technologist I to join our team at Red Deer Regional Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory department, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, and analysis of diagnostic samples.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment, and research.
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
- Participate in departmental efficiency projects to improve laboratory processes and procedures.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
- Recent Anatomical Pathology experience in a clinical setting.
- Working knowledge of Epic Beaker and experience with Dragon Voice recognition for gross dictation.
- Demonstrated ability and interest to actively participate in department efficiency projects.
