Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Anatomical Pathologist to join our team at Alberta Precision Laboratories. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing diseases and physiological disorders, conducting medical research, and supervising laboratory activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders through microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens.
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods, and prepare research papers for publication and presentation.
  • Supervise laboratory activities, including ordering laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Act as consultants to other physicians and refer patients for surgery as necessary.
Requirements
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) and Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II) certification.
  • Specialty residency training in pathology and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination.
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. The position involves standing for extended periods, walking, and bending, as well as working under pressure and in a physically demanding environment.

Relocation
