Job Description for Desktop Support Specialist

At PeopleToGo, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hardware and Software Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other hardware devices.
  • Network Support: Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, including connectivity problems and data transfer issues.
  • Help Desk Support: Provide first-level technical support to employees via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and upgrading hardware components.
  • Software Installation and Updates: Install and update software applications, including operating systems and productivity software.
  • Problem Resolution: Analyze and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: Diploma from a recognized IT program.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in hardware and software support.
  • Skills: Excellent technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
  • Certifications: A+ certification and/or other vendor certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP).
