About the Role

The Director will play a vital role in the development and growth of an integrated service delivery model for the student service desk and across the Students Division. This includes ensuring seamless service delivery, fostering strong relationships, and managing resources effectively.

The Director will also be responsible for providing oversight of the operations and services within the Sam Taylor Student Commons, ensuring it runs efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow an integrated service delivery model for the service desk and the Division.
• Create a comprehensive documentation and training program for staff.
• Foster strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure service continuity and collaboration.
• Lead organizational change through staff development and support.
• Ensure staff skills and capabilities are developed through mentoring, coaching, and training opportunities.
• Manage resources effectively to meet strategic and operational goals.
• Provide oversight of the operations and services within the Sam Taylor Student Commons.

Qualifications

1. Minimum 3 or 4-year bachelor's degree or equivalent.
2. Minimum 6 years of progressive experience and responsibility in post-secondary administration and service delivery.
3. Experience building an integrated service delivery model is considered an asset.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
5. Experience in change management is required.
6. Leadership, supervision, and project management experience is necessary.
7. High-level critical thinking skills along with data analysis ability are required.
8. Ability to manage complex priorities is essential.
9. Collaborative work style is necessary to work with various clients.
10. Business plan development and implementation experience is required.
11. Knowledge of Alberta and Canadian post-secondary systems is an asset.
